  12. I have a Supra external 28.8 Fax/modem with updated ROM that lets
  13. Windows recognise it as a PnP, which it does.  I don't know the
  14. Express.  Supra has a Web site (www.supra.com) where they ROM updates,
  15. etc.  I would suggest contacting their tech support.
  16. As for the message about the port being open and the modem in use,
  17. sounds like a conflict with something else, e.g., a serial mouse,
  18. using the same port.  If you open Control Panel\System and the Device
  19. Manager tab and check "view devices by connection", you can check if
  20. any other devices are using the same port.
